1. Company Information
Barbossa Yachting operates as a yacht charter brokerage agency. We do not own the yachts listed on our website. All charter bookings are arranged between the Client and the Yacht Owner / Charter Operator. Barbossa Yachting acts as intermediary and booking facilitator.
2. Booking & Payment
To confirm a booking, a deposit payment is required (usually 30–50% depending on the charter operator). The remaining balance must be paid according to the deadlines specified on the booking confirmation. All prices, payment schedules, and cancellation terms are defined by the vessel’s official Charter Operator.
3. Contractual Relationship
When a booking is confirmed, the Client enters into a direct legal contract with the Yacht Owner / Charter Operator. Barbossa Yachting is not responsible for operational management of the vessel, crew performance, safety onboard, or the delivery of services from third parties.
4. Changes & Cancellations
Modification or cancellation policies vary by Charter Operator. All requests must be submitted in writing. Refunds, rescheduling, or compensation are subject to the official policies of the vessel’s operator. Barbossa Yachting has no obligation to provide refunds outside the operator’s terms.
5. Travel Insurance
Clients are strongly advised to have travel insurance covering cancellation, medical treatment, accidents at sea, weather-related disruptions, personal liability and loss/damage of personal items.
6. Documentation & Requirements
For bareboat charters, valid sailing licenses and nautical certificates must be presented by the Client. If the operator rejects the certificates, the Client must accept a professional skipper at additional cost.
7. Liability
Barbossa Yachting is not liable for personal injury, accidents, damages, weather delays, force majeure, or any loss caused directly or indirectly before, during or after the charter. All operational responsibility lies with the Charter Operator.
8. Website Information
We aim to provide accurate yacht descriptions and prices, however details may be changed or updated at any time without prior notice based on the information received from operators.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by EU law and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction applicable to the registered legal entity of Barbossa Yachting.
